INTRODUCTION

Hi!, so we are Evergreen Terrace, that is James Deutsher and Liv Barrett. We make art, clothes and print stuff. With Mr. Peoples, we are really excited about working on this project with you and think that it can be good and interesting and there are lots of possibilities or maybe not but it is something new for us which we are excited about. So for the 1st class we spend together we really want to freely open up the idea of colour; what it means to us, what we might think of when we think of colour what we like or dis-like about it. Maybe we find interesting connections or disconnections and through talking about this elemental thing, we find a bit more out about ourselvs and each other. But really it is an opportunity to talk about anything which we find interesting or otherwise through colour. We would like everyone to bring in some material to promote discussion. That may be an object with interesting colour, images, writing about colour, writing that makes you think of a particular colour, anything, as long as you can talk it back to colour, which is a creative exercise in itself!

Over the sessions we spend with you, we hope to develop this blog as a group with writing and images, have a lot of discussions, make some collaborative sculptures and collectively decide on 5 colours for artist Christopher L.G. Hill to use in a large abstract wall painting as part of Next Wave Festival 2008. We would also like to publish this blog in print to show with the wall painting.
